Common questions

Why does a bus show no time, or "No live times"?

MyBasu shows the times the Land Transport Authority publishes. Outside service hours there are none. LTA's feed sometimes has gaps too, and times return when it recovers. The dot next to "Live" at the top of the app turns amber or red when times can't be fetched.

How accurate are the times?

Arrival times are LTA's estimates and can change as the bus moves through traffic. Journey times in "Where to?" and on Home and Work are MyBasu's own estimates, from distances and timetables, so allow a few extra minutes.

The app doesn't show stops near me

Check that location access for MyBasu is on in your phone's settings. Your location is only used on your phone. You can also search for any stop by name or number.

How do I add the widget?

First save something in the app: buses for Home or Work, or a pinned bus at a stop. Then add the MyBasu widget from your Home Screen's widget list. It shows your Home buses in the morning and your Work buses after noon. The widget guide shows each step.

My arrival alert didn't go off

Make sure notifications for MyBasu are on. On Android, also allow "Alarms & reminders" for MyBasu, so the alert can arrive on time. The alerts guide shows how to set one.

Is MyBasu an official LTA app?

No. MyBasu is an independent app that uses LTA's public data. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by LTA, SBS Transit, SMRT, Tower Transit, Go-Ahead or the Singapore Land Authority.
